When did italian cuisine become apart of australia?

Like what period of time? Im just curious.

1. mainly after the second world war , plus a lot of prisoners of war were detained , in places like newcastle, and never went back to italy , if you are up on your history you would be aware that japanese p.o.w `s were stationed at cowra, after the war a lot of italians migrated to aust.and were housed in quonson huts at greta , a suburb of newcastle ,and were employed, locally,in the restaurants ,vineyards,etc. there way of life was very quickly rubbed off on the aust. way of life.
2. bout the same time Greek cuisine became apart of Melbourne
