what good Italian restaurant should I take my girlfriend for her B-day?

I was just thinking since me in my G-friend and i were both Italian I think it would suit her best to take her to a Italian restaurant for her B-day. But what should I go to? I was thinking a little, Olive garden.

2. Before I read your description I was thinking Olive Garden too! Thats a great idea!
3. Macaroni Grill if you have one by you. It's better than Olive Garden and about the same price.

5. If you are lucky enough to have a Maggiano's Little Italy in your area you should definitely take her there because the food is FANTASTIC. Buca de Bepo's is also a good place but nothing compared to Maggiano's. Have fun!

7. If you both are really Italian, and you think that Olive Garden is the real stuff, then I'm at a loss for words. However, Skittle does have a good suggestion. If there is a Buca di Beppo's in your area, they're worth a visit as well. They usually have a table in the kitchen area held for special occasions and this would sure qualify. However, search the web in your area for any Italian or Italian-American organizations. Contact them, and find that great out-of-the-way spot that they can probably recommend for the best Italian in your area.
8. I really like Buca di Beppo, but the Olive Garden in this area is always packed. That's a sure sign of a good restaurant - repeat business.
9. I'm Italian Olive Garden is not authentic. Go to yelp.com and type in italian restaurants with your city, it will come up with the best, read reviews, go with authenticity and you will be rewarded with great food, evening, and romantic mood.
